I like the idea of Sherman Alexie's voice being a unique fingerprint. It's distinct. Yet in that "distinctness", he uses some pretty universal tones which many readers find familiar.
What do you think of his voice, his tone?
This is our test-run project in Senior English and LaXRoads English.

I agree with him having a distinct tone but also when that draws people in with some interesting ring to it. I think his voice would be full of hope but also have a bit of pain espcially if he was talking about when he was growing up or bad memories from his child hood. Or maybe it has a brightness to it that just make people want to be around him and listen to what he has to say and believe in his story.
Hmm...well to tell you the truth...I think his voice is great. But I haven't even heard him read so idk if you're talking about the voice of his writing or his actual voice :)
bahahah
Alexie's voice is one that everyone can relate to, because everyone was once a teenager. This is why Romeo and Juliette still work today, love is universal.
I think that the voice of Sherman Alexie is unique as well. I also think how the story is put together, helps me and probably everyone else as well understand even more what he is going through... the way he writes makes it fun to read and a lot more interesting!
i think his voice does have a distinct tone, but it is not my favorite. i admit the story has good humor and everything, but the childish talking is kinda starting to get annoying :D
Sherman Alexies voice in this book does not compare to alot of authors. i believe the idea of this book is perfect for his tone..
